Congress registered 3 260 participants from 139 countries. The exhibition featured 56 of the stand, held over 140 workshops were more than 500 speakers. The proceedings of the Congress consisted of 680 abstracts. It's safe to say that the Congress was a huge success.
ADYAR became a full member of the International Cancer Union.
In the section "Lessons learnt from renewed collaborative action driven by regional oncology societies ("lessons learned from the resumed cooperation, stimulated by the regional cancer societies") under the chairmanship of the President of the mprs Tesera Kutluk and Professor L. V. Demidov from ADYAR was presented the report "Building capacity in common independent states, ADIOR experience: language as a uniting feature across a diverse region" (the Strengthening of cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States, experience ADIOR: language as a unifying tool in the territory occupied by the various States).
