Vladimir Putin congratulated the participants of the XI Congress of oncologists and radiologists of CIS and Eurasia

23 APR 2020 was held a solemn opening ceremony of the XI Congress of the Association of Directors of Oncology and radiology (ADIR) of the CIS and Eurasia, which attracted a record number of participants. The ceremony was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Council for science and education under the RF President, academician of RAS Alexander Sergeev, Director, Department for humanitarian cooperation, General political and social problems of the CIS Executive Committee Alexei Sazonov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, Vice-Minister of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lasati Achaioi, President ADIOR CIS and EA, the main non-staff oncologist of Ministry of health of Russia, academician Andrei Kaprina and President of the Congress, Director of KSMA – branch FGBOU DPO RMAPO Ministry of health of Russia, chief off-staff specialist oncologist of Ministry of health of Russia in Volga Federal district Rustem Khasanov, and with the participation of members of the Presidium of ADIOR CIS and Eurasia and managers oncological centers of Russia and CIS. Leading the ceremony became a television journalist and chief editor of TV channel "the Doctor" Evelina Zakamskaya.

"In the current difficult conditions you are faced with a responsible task to maintain efficient, sustainable operation of the entire system of cancer care," - said in greeting.

In his speech, the Minister of health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko noted that mobilization of forces to neutralise the threat of coronavirus is a test of strength. He stressed that the issue of cancer care and planned amounts of funding remain priorities of the state. As part of the ceremony of rewarding of winners of competition of young scientists which was held under the chairmanship of the jury, headed by Eugene Choinzonov Director of the Oncology research Institute of TIMC Russian Academy of Sciences, academician of Russian Academy of medical Sciences. The winners of the contest on the best publication steel 6 talented professionals who have published significant materials in the field of Oncology. Awarding was held by the chief oncologist of Ministry of health of Russia, academician of RAS Ivan Stilidi.
