30 April 2020 oncological service of Russia and many countries of the former Soviet Union marks the memorable date – the 75th anniversary of the release of the legendary the decision of Sovnarkoma of the USSR from April 30, 1945. This is a difficult time of war was decided on the establishment of cancer services in that framework which have become a powerful framework for all services in the former Soviet Union, and we are many still. The authors of the Resolution, academicians B. V. Petrovsky and A. I. Sawicki, who took over the Management of the cancer institutions and has become the main oncologist of the country and Director of the Institute named after Herzen laid the groundwork for the regular and dispensary aid to the population. In just two years from 1945 throughout the country was built 130 dispensaries and openly 300 onkarabile.
Thanks to our great teachers-oncologists, today we have the opportunity to develop and improve our service. Currently in Russia, the fight against cancer is a national priority, and the end of 2018, is a Federal project "Fight against cancer". According to this documents by 2024 in 85 subjects of the Russian Federation will be organized 420 centers outpatient cancer care, 160 regional medical organization assisting cancer patients (clinics/hospitals), will be refitted with the latest medical equipment. Until the end of 2020 to complete the formation of 18 reference centres immunohistochemical, pathological and radiological methods of research (until the end of 2020).
In honor of this memorable date, the main non - staff oncologist of Ministry of health of Russia, academician of the RAS, General Director of "SMRC radiology" of Ministry of health of Russia in the videoconference held a commemorative conference with the participation of 60 regions of our country. Andrei congratulated the colleagues on this memorable date, but also presented the issue of a new book on the work of oncologicasOh service of Russia and collectible postage stamps issued specially for the memorable date. Presentation of the commemorative book and the ceremony of stamp cancellation will take place within the III International forum of Oncology and radiology, which is scheduled in Moscow from 21 to 25 September 2020.
