- One of the key themes of the annual address to the Federal Assembly Russian President Vladimir Putin, was health care. And the main focus in the modernisation of primary care. As the President said from July 01, 2020 will start a powerful re-equipment of clinics, and before the end of 2020 will be fully completed the deployment of FAPs in remote and inaccessible regions of Russia. It is the quality and accessibility of medical aid depends largely on the priorities of the national project for the fight against cancer. We are one year into its implementation, and seeing the first results. I am confident that this process will continue and will be the basis for achieving set targets - reduction in mortality from cancer and improve early diagnosis. We have, as ever, a great opportunity and we have these challenges to deal with.

The major point of the message was the theme of professional training of medical personnel. According to the statement of the President, from 2020 will be substantially increased quotas for education in the budget. On specialty "medical business" it is planned to establish the percentage of target locations in 70%, for "Pediatrics" is 75%. "Quotas on the target device will be formed at the request of the regions, and they, in turn, should guarantee employment for future graduates." In my opinion, this is an extremely important measure that can help to eliminate the shortage of personnel in the regions. In addition, Vladimir Putin stressed that the government is willing to Fund training of students in the most scarce medical specialties to 100%. We expect that this measure will affect the training of doctors as radiotherapists, medical physics, pathomorphology.

And, of course, TSentral topic of health care remains the issue of drug supply. According to the head of the state, in our country will create a single see-through register receive the discounted drugs. We expect that this measure will largely allow to restore order in this sphere. I note that in 2019 there were interruptions to the receipt and purchase of medicines in Oncology, which was caused by a significant increase in demand for chemotherapy. Now, thanks to negotiations with key pharmaceutical manufacturers, the situation has stabilized.

Today we are all doctors, scientists, healthcare managers, representatives of Executive and legislative authorities, related industries and medicine - again, we stand on the front line, and it depends on us what will be the level of health of the population is not only living, but also future generations.
